Chinese manufacturer ZTE has launched a new mid-range smartphone in its Blade lineup of Android handsets, called the Blade V580. The Blade V580 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and has been made available in Japan for a price tag of JPY 27,800 (around $246). Like most mid-range phones today, the V580 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor, and also features 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It has 4G LTE connectivity, dual SIM slots, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The phone has a metallic body, another feature that seems to be becoming commonplace on Chinese smartphones these days.
The Blade V580 will be available in silver and gray color options. ZTE hasn’t said anything about availability outside Japan, but the Blade V580 should be available in the company’s home country as well.
