The ‘Apple of China’ today introduced its newest product, the Mi Qicycle.
Even though it is the company’s very first foldable electric bicycle, the Qicycle is definitely very impressive. The bike is made out of carbon fibre, which not only makes it durable but also helps reduce weight. In fact, the bike weighs in at just 7kg. Total weight comes to 14.5 kg, which is pretty impressive.
The electric bicycle is powered by a 250W 36V high-speed motor with IDbike Torque Measurement Method (TMM) that intelligently measures the torque you apply and adjusts power accordingly. Thanks to Panasonic 18650 20 x 2900mAh lithium-ion battery cells (same ones used by Tesla), the bike has a range of 45km on a single charge. If you run out of battery, you can still continue cycling thanks to the Shimano Nexus 3-speed gear hub. With the companion app, you will be able to view all the key info such as bike status, GPS navigation, ride stats, and more. The Qicycle itself features a bike computer with a 1.8” 160 x 128 display to display data such as calories burned, speed, distance travelled, and more.
The Xiaomi Mi Qicycle is now on sale in China with a price tag of 3000 Yuan ($455).
