The Mi 4c could go on sale less than two weeks after announcement.
Xiaomi’s next Mi device, the Mi 4c, has been making the rounds in the rumor mills for some time now, with an appearance on a benchmark database recently giving us a look at its specs. Now, the company’s co-founder and president Mr. Lin Bin has come out and confirmed that the Mi 4c is in the pipeline and will be made official on September 22nd.
Bin also confirmed that the phone will feature two variants, one with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM and another with 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM. The official didn’t say anything else, but according to the Mi 4c’s benchmark results, it will feature a Snapdragon 808 processor, a 5-inch Full HD display, a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera duo, and Android 5.1.1. The phone is also expected to come with a USB Type-C port, an infrared port, and a 3,080 mAh battery.
As far as availability is concerned, the Mi 4c is expected to go on sale from October 3rd, with a rumored price tag of 1,499 Yuan (roughly $235) for the base model. The affordable price tag doesn’t come as a surprise, and the only thing that remains to be seen is whether the Mi 4c will get a wider launch than the Mi 4i, which was exclusive to the Indian market.
