While the Mi Band 2 is going to be unveiled on May 10, the first smartwatch from Xiaomi will reportedly be launched in the second half of this year.
Xiaomi co-founder and Vice President Liu De made it clear during a conference in Beijing that the company is currently working on the Mi smartwatch but they do not plan to launch it at the Mi Max event next month. Xiaomi fans will need to wait a little longer as the company plans to launch the Mi smartwatch only in the second half of 2016.
Xiaomi has seen great success in the wearables market so far, with the Mi Band being a smashing success. It also launched a smartwatch aimed at kids recently, which includes GPS functionality.
