After launching the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus recently, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch the Mi Note 2 next month. This was revealed by industry analyst Pan Jiutang, who revealed the info in a post on Weibo recently.
Apart from boasting of very impressive specifications, the Mi Note 2 could also be offered in multiple color options according to the analyst. While no specific date was mentioned in the post, Jiutang did say that the phablet would arrive at the end of October.
Unfortunately, no new info regarding the phablet’s spec-sheet has been shared by the analyst in his latest post. Based on previously available info, the phablet will feature a large 5.7-inch dual curved AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution and is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, just like the recently unveiled Mi 5s and the Mi 5s Plus smartphones. In the memory department, the Mi Note 2 is expected to come equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage on the top end variant. The base variant on the other hand is rumored to include 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is also expected to pack a large 3600mAh capacity battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI8. Apart from the Mi Note 2, Xiaomi is rumored to be working on the Mi Note 2 Pro as well, which could feature a whopping 8GB of RAM.
Another recent post on Weibo claims that the Mi Note 2 will be arriving in the month of November, contradicting Jiutang’s info. The poster had earlier revealed that the phablet will feature a 5.7-inch display with dual curved edges and 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution.
