The smaller variant of Xiaomi’s Mi Mix has been leaked online once again today, from the same source out of China. The smaller variant is rumored to be marketed as the Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano and will feature a much more manageable 5.5” screen size.
With a 5.5” display size, the Mi Mix Nano could end up being similar in terms of dimensions to a few 5-inch smartphones out there. Judging by the leaked images, it does appear that the smaller Mi Mix Nano will boast of a similar screen-to-body ratio as its larger sibling, although we cannot be completely sure at this point.
In terms of specs however, the Mi Mix Nano is expected to be slightly less impressive than its larger sibling. While it will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC as the 6.4” Mi Mix, the quad-core chip is going to be paired with 4GB of RAM instead of 6GB. As for storage, the smartphone is expected to come with 64GB of onboard storage, which is a downgrade over the 128GB and 256GB storage options offered with the larger Mi Mix. Rest of the specs are expected to be more or less similar to its larger sibling. On the software front, the Mi Mix Nano will run on the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and not the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Mi Mi Nano is reportedly going to be announced in the first week of December, which means it could go on sale in China by the end of the year.
