Xiaomi today announced the successor to its hugely popular Mi Band wearable, the Mi Band 1S.
The Mi Band 1S can measure your heart-rate, monitor the quality of your sleep, track the number of calories you’ve burnt, and count the number of steps you take. There is no display on the wearable, so all the relevant data will be displayed on your smartphone screen. The Mi Band 1S is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones, connecting over Bluetooth 4.0. It is water resistant with an IP67 rating and measures 37 x 13.6 x 9.9mm. In terms of weight, the Mi Band 1S is just a tad heavier than its predecessor, weighing in at 5.5 grams.
One interesting feature of the wearable is that it can unlock your smartphone with it if you are using a Xiaomi smartphone.
The Mi Band 1S will go on sale starting 11th November and has been priced at $15.
