While the Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano may not be real, the Mi 5c certainly is real. A pre-sale poster out of China has been leaked today, revealing the handset’s price tag. Surprisingly, the Mi 5c is going to be priced at just RMB 999 in China, which converts to $144 based on the current exchange rate. The leaked poster comes from leakster @KJuma, who has a decent track record with leaks in the past.
The Mi 5c is expected to feature a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, although some rumors hint at a larger 5.5-inch display size as well. Under the hood, Xiaomi’s Mi 5c could be be powered by its in-house developed “Pine” octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz, with the Mali-T860 GPU. The chipset. Or, it could also be the MediaTek Helio P15 chipset running under its hood.
Based on leaked benchmarks, we do know that the smartphone will feature 3GB of RAM as well. Rest of the smartphone’s specs haven’t been revealed yet, but since the Mi 5c is going to be announced soon, we can look forward to more leaks to detail its hardware specs very soon. As for software, the smartphone is going to run MIUI 8 out of the box, which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.
The Xiaomi Mi 5c is tipped to go official by the end of the month and will be going on sale in the Chinese market starting December 12th.
