Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched the Mi 4i as a colorful and more affordable variant of its flagship Mi 4. It now looks like Xiaomi could add another device to its lineup as the Mi 4c has recently made its way to Chinese TENAA certification agency.
From the pictures and dimensions posted on the TENAA website, it appears the Mi 4c will be almost identical to the Mi 4i as far as the design and dimensions go. The build materials also appear to be the same.
Where the Mi 4c will differ from the Mi 4i is the chipset under the hood. Instead of the Snapdragon 615 SoC in the Mi 4i, the Mi 4c will be powered by the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chipset that was first used by LG on its flagship G4. The software will also see an upgrade to the latest Android 5.1.1 version of Lollipop, with the MIUI custom interface running on top. Rest of the device’s specifications remain similar to the Mi 4i.
