The Vivo Xplay5 (or the Xplay5s as some rumors have called it) is shaping up to be the first smartphone that will feature 6GB of RAM, but it seems the Chinese manufacturer might also have a more humble variant of the device in the works. Vivo has already confirmed that the Xplay 5 will have 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 820 CPU, but a new leak has revealed that there is also a variant with the Snapdragon 652 and 4GB of RAM.
The combination of the Snapdragon 652 and 4GB of RAM should still be very potent, and the reduced specs are probably to offer consumers a cheaper version of the device that offers high-end performance without breaking the bank. The leaked flyer for the device also reveals a 5.43-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, a large 3,600 mAh battery (the Snapdragon 820 version is expected to have a 4,300 mAh battery), and 128GB of on-board storage. 16 MP and 8 MP rear and front cameras are present as well, in addition to 4G LTE connectivity.
The Xplay5 is set for an official announcement on March 1st, so it will be a very short while before we learn what Vivo has to offer to consumers with its latest flagship.
