Vivo has launched two new smartphones for the Indian market. Dubbed the V3 and V3 Max, the phones offer a mix of high-end and mid-range specs. The V3 Max is more powerful, with a 5.5-inch Full HD display at the front and an octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC under the hood. There’s also 4GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, 32GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery with quick charge support.
The V3 comes with a 5-inch HD display, the Snapdragon 616 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 2,550 mAh battery. The rest of its specs are shared with the V3 Max. Both devices run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.5 on top, and also have fingerprint sensors on the back. Like all of Vivo’s smartphones, the V3 and V3 Max support Hi-Fi audio, and the company is promising “faster than faster” performance on both. In terms of the design, these devices come with a metallic body.
The V3 and V3 Max are priced at Rs. 17,890 and Rs. 23,980 respectively. At those prices, the handsets will compete with devices like the OnePlus X and the Xiaomi Mi 5, the latter of which was launched in India last week.
