ViewSonic launches a FreeSync-enabled 4K gaming monitor

ViewSonic XG

ViewSonic has launched three new gaming monitors, with the high-end variant offering a 4K panel. The XG2401, XG2701 and XG2700-4K are the new models, with all three monitors featuring AMD’s FreeSync technology, which eliminates screen tearing by syncing framerates between the video card and the monitor. All monitors also feature ViewSonic’s SmartSync technology, which selects the best refresh rate, response time, and lowest lag needed for FPS. There’s also a black stabilization function that assists with dark-on-dark images.

The XG2401 is a 24-inch Full HD monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time. The XG2701 has the same features, with the screen size increased to 27 inches. The XG2700-4K is the most interesting model of the lot, boasting a 4K IPS panel with 5ms response time, along with DisplayPort 1.2a and HDMI 2.0 connectivity.
