Vainglory World Championship 2017 heads to Singapore

Mobile game developer Super Evil Megacorp, the masterminds behind hit mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Vainglory, have revealed their cunning plan to host the the Vainglory World Championship 2017 in Singapore on December 14 through December 17, at the Kallang Theatre.

The top twelve Vainglory teams  in the world will do battle for a prize pool of USD$140,000, an increase from last year’s prize pool of USD$120,000, when it was held in Hollywood, California. Super Evil Megacorp is also set to globally unveil the 5v5 feature live through a show match on stage. This would be held amidst a major in-game update, and is slated to be a pivotal
moment in Vainglory history.

Vainglory’s homecoming to Singapore bears great significance, where local players were the first to trial its beta version, Kindred, before it was further released to Southeast Asia. It is now played in over 250 countries worldwide. To add to occasion, Team Impunity, a Singapore home-grown team of esports players, will also be contending the world title on home turf.
