Mobile MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) favourite Vainglory is now bigger than ever. In a category traditionally dominated by PC titles like Starcraft and Warcraft, Super Evil Megacorp has succeeded against all odds with 10 million downloads on the Google Play store to date (any many more on the Apple Appstore). After showcasing its 5v5 version late last year in Singapore at the Vainglory World Championship, it is now available worldwide on the Appstore and Google Play Store.
This game mode has been made available as part of update 3.0, and features a three-lane map layout, 120FPS rendered graphics and a PC-level MOBA experience. These are made possible by Super Evil Megacorp’s proprietary E.V.I.L. game engine.
Amongst the updates that the all-new 5v5 mode will bring is a true line-of-sight Fog of War, a world-first amongst mobile MOBA games. Gamers can also expect to jam out to an all-new in-game music score by award-winning composer Joris de Man, known for his work featured on the Killzone franchise and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Free new skins will be available during a special Lunar New Year event until 22nd February.
Super Evil Megacorp has also announced two new key partnerships to bring the title to greater heights. ESP Gaming will bring top-tier Vainglory esports in North America and Europe to a new headquarters in Las Vegas, making it its flagship production title for all mobile esports.
Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, has also entered into a strategic partnership to combine Vainglory with its devices and peripherals.
