Upcoming Meizu flagship with Exynos 8890 SoC passes through AnTuTu

Meizu

An unannounced Meizu smartphone has shown up on the AnTuTu benchmark database. Interestingly, the smartphone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoC, a chipset that was rumored to be used in the Pro 6.

It isn’t clear if the device, simply referred to as the Meizu_m96, is going to be a more powerful variant of the Pro 6 or if could be the Pro 7. The AnTuTu listing reveals the smartphone features a Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but if Meizu decides to launch the smartphone towards the end of the year, you could expect it to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat instead.
