Even though most leading technology firms are already in the Virtual Reality field or are planning to enter it very soon, Virtual Reality gaming is still in a nascent stage. Ubisoft however, wishes to changes that next year by launching its first Virtual Reality titles next year.
During an analyst call recently, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guilemot revealed that Ubisoft is developing a ‘number of games’ that support virtual reality and will begin arriving next year onwards. He believes that virtual reality can help gamers enjoy a more immersive experience.
While the first titles will be launching next year, Ubisoft plans to continue coming out with regular games that support virtual reality on a regular basis. Unfortunately, he didn’t reveal which games would be getting the virtual reality treatment, so we will need to wait to find out more.
A number of virtual reality devices are expected to debut next year, including the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus virtual reality headset.
