Two new 4.6” Sony Xperia smartphones spotted on GFXBench database

Two upcoming Xperia smartphones with model number F3216 and F3311 have been caught on the popular GFXBench benchmark database.

Both the smartphones feature a small 4.6” display and are powered by a MediaTek chipset. The F3216 happens to be powered by the MediaTek MT6755 octa-core chipset and includes 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 21MP rear camera, and a 16MP selfie camera.

The F3311 has a similar 4.6” display as the F3216 but comes with 720 x 1280 HD resolution as opposed to 1080 x 1920. It features a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Both smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Sony had in the recent past stopped catering to the mass market with sub-5inch devices, so we’re happy to see that things are set to change this year with not one but two mid-range “Compact” Xperia models.
