Transcend introduces SDHC HD Video cards

Transcend SDHC HD Video cards

Transcend has recently announced their latest SDHC Video memory cards designed for storing and recording High Definition (HD) videos. A 16GB SDHC Video memory card can store approximately 2hr 40min of Full HD 1920×1080 videos at 13Mbps data rate. The new range of memory cards also comes in 4GB and 8GB capacities.

Transcend has announced the arrival of its newest memory card series – SDHC™ HD Video Cards, designed specifically for recording, storing, and playing back high definition video content.

Today’s camcorders can record digital video at extremely high resolutions without compromising image quality. However, the improved clarity of HD video requires a significantly greater amount of storage space when recording.

Transcend’s SDHC HD Video Cards are equipped to handle the increased capacity, speed, and reliability requirements of HD video. When recording in high quality 1920×1080 AVCHD format at 13Mbps compression rate, a 16GB Transcend SDHC HD Video Card can store 2 hours and 40 minutes of video content. And if slightly lower quality settings are used, the same 16GB card can record up to six full hours of high definition video.

For added convenience, the front of each Transcend SDHC HD Video card features a useful space for labeling and organizing recorded video content.
