‘Titanfall’ heading to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11

One of the most eagerly awaited Microsoft-exclusive titles will be launching on March 11.

Titanfall is a first-person shooting game that features a lot of heavy mechs. Players can play as a Titan, which is a heavily armored mech, or as a pilot. The game only has an online multiplayer mode, in which players go head to head against other players to finish team-based objectives. The game includes a lot of action that includes parkour and hijacking mechs.

The game utilizes Microsoft’s Azure cloud services, and while the game is online-only, it manages to bring a lot of traditional single player features like plot and character progression. The game won over 60 awards at E3 2013, and has also won over critics at Gamescon and the Tokyo Game Show.

Titanfall will come in two versions. The standard edition of the game will cost $59.99 across platforms. There is also going to be a collector’s edition that will set users back $250. This edition comes with the game along with an 18-inch collectible Titan statue which features LED lighting. Also included is a 190 page hardcover art book that details original art from the game. Users will also get a full-size Atlas Titan schematic. Pre-orders for the game are now live.

Titanfall will launch on March 11 for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in North America, and will be available in other territories on March 13.
