Thermaltake today released the new Toughpower Grand RGB Gold Series PSUs with a fully modular design and 80 PLUS Gold certification.
The Toughpower Grand RGB Gold series comes equipped with the company’s patented 256 colors Ring 14 RGB fan, which offers five lighting modes (256 Color RGB Cycle, Solid Red, Green, Blue, White, and an Off mode). These modes can easily be accessed by pressing the RGB lighting button.
The concentrated compression fan blade design of the Ring 14 RGB fan, along with the hydraulic bearing, ensure excellent cooling performance while maintaining silent and stable operation. Smart Zero Fan feature makes sure the PSU remains completely silent when the fan operates below 20% working load. The fully modular design and a low-profile flat cable design ensures your system will not be cluttered and also helps increase airflow within the case. Voltage regulation is set to no more than ±2% for major rails for best performance. As expected from a quality 80 PLUS Gold certified PSU, the Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB series uses 100% Japanese made capacitors for high reliability and features a <30mV low ripple noise design. For maximum energy savings, the PSUs have been optimized for 6th Generation Intel “Skylake” Core processors.
The Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB Gold PSU series comes in 650W, 750W, and 850W variants for now. New variants may be added later, but that of course depends on how well consumers receive the new series. No details regarding pricing or availability have been shared yet.
