StarHub Targets Gamers With Free S$399 ROG Router For 2Gbps Plan Subscribers

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) and StarHub has jointly announced their collaboration which brings their ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 802.11ac gaming router to customers exclusively on StarHub’s Turbo Gamer 2Gbps fibre home plan.

With no hidden activation costs and installation fees, the SGD 399 Rapture GT-AC2900 will come at no extra cost to new subscribers or re-contract customers. In fact, subscribers will enjoy two months of free subscription on the plan. They will be the first in Southeast Asia to receive the newly-launched router.

The router is designed for all types of gamers, be it on PC, console or even mobile and is optimised for gaming by prioritising the connection of compatible gaming devices. With support for wtfast, adaptive QoS, Dynamic Frequency Selection, MU-MIMO and triple-level game acceleration, the ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 will represent an upgrade for the vast majority of consumers who demand the best from their gadgets.

The router will also feature Aura RGB lighting to blend perfectly amidst one’s gaming accoutrement. Asus has also collaborated with Trend Micro to build AiProtection Pro, which is a lifetime security service for protection against attacks with automatic and regular router firmware upgrades, along with parental controls.

The StarHub Turbo Gamer 2Gbps plan will be available from 3rd August 2019 (Saturday) at all StarHub shops and online. Customers will receive the ROG Rapture GT-AC2900, worth SGD 399, free-of-charge. They will also enjoy discounts on an optional ROG gaming essentials bundle that consists of a keyboard, mouse and headset.
