The Star Wars Craze Continues With Lenovo’s Yoga 920 Reboots

With Episode 8, Star Wars: The Last Jedi looming, it’s time choose to join the Light or Dark Side! First unveiled at IFA 2017 in Germany, Lenovo’s Star Wars-themed Yoga 920 laptops will be coming to Singapore.

The limited edition convertible laptop will come in two designs, one etched with the logo of the Rebel Alliance, and the other etched with the logo of the Galactic empire. Both designs will have the logos etched on the cover of the laptop, under a layer of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass.

This special edition of the Yoga 920 will only come in one configuration, featuring an 8th Generation Intel i7, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, as well as a 4K IPS Touchscreen. The rest of the specifications will remain the same as the standard Yoga 920.

We got to try the Star Wars-themed Yoga 920 at Lenovo’s booth at CEF 2017 and the design was nothing short of amazing, and would certainly appeal to Star Wars fans out there! The laptop also comes with a series of Star Wars-themed wallpapers, and they indeed look good on the laptop’s 4K screen. However, the glossy screen surface and the Gorilla Glass cover were , and were quickly covered with fingerprints after a few minutes of playing around with the device. We also experienced slight issues with the touchscreen, but we were told that the device we tried was a pre-production model and that all issues would be rectified by the time the device goes on sale.

The Star Wars Special Edition Yoga 920 retails for SGD2999, and is available for pre-order at CEF 2017. It is expected to ship from the 2nd week of November onwards, and will be available for sale at all major retailers. Only 100 sets (50 sets of each design) have been allocated for the Singapore market, so Star Wars fans, act fast!
