Sprint reportedly receiving new iPhone in mid-September

Apple is expected to unveil two new iPhones next month. It is not known for sure right now when the iPhones will be released. Rumor has it that Sprint is going to receive a new iPhone in mid-September.

iPhone 5S

It is actually not confirmed at the moment that Apple is actually going to announce two new iPhones in September. For long the company has been rumored to be working on a low cost iPhone, which is now widely known as the iPhone 5C. Even if Apple doesn’t release that, it is definitely going to unveil the iPhone 5S, the next generation iPhone. No ones knows for sure right now when the company will ultimately release the new iPhone, rumors have been circulating that the release might take place on September 20th, which is a Friday. Apple has traditionally released new iPhones in the U.S. on a Friday.

According to the new rumor, the iPhone display sections at certain Sprint retail stores are going to be modified over the next couple of weeks. The modifications include installation of new counters, which reportedly must be in place by September 16th. Its a Monday on the 16th next month, so its unlikely that the release would take place on that day. The rumor’s source claims Sprint retail outlets don’t modify iPhone displays unless a new model is on the way, though it has not been clarified which new iPhone Sprint is going to get.

Seeing as how the low cost iPhone, a.k.a iPhone 5C, is expected to not require a carrier contract, one can speculate that the iPhone 5S might be coming to Sprint in mid-September. Hopefully we’ll know all this for sure when Apple finally announces its new smartphones, it is expected to do that on September 10th.
