Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium, & Z5 Compact specs rumored before IFA announcement

This coming Wednesday, Sony will be unveiling the Xperia Z5 family of smartphones at IFA 2015 in Berlin. Mere days before the event, a report published by PhoneArena has detailed the specs of the three devices that Sony is expected to announce.

According to the info, Sony will be introducing three Xperia smartphones at IFA – Z5, Z5 Compact, and the Z5 Premium. The Xperia Z5 Compact will reportedly feature a 4.6-inch display with 720 x 1280 HD resolution. The Xperia Z5 will retain the same 5.2-inch display size and the 1080 x 1920 resolution of its predecessor. Finally, we have the Xperia Z5 Premium that is rumored to pack a 5.5-inch sized display with 2160 x 3840 4K resolution, resulting in a ridiculously high pixel density of around 800 PPI.

The Xperia Z5 is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM. It will also come with 32GB of internal memory, 23MP rear camera with 4K video recording, 8MP selfie camera, and a side mounted fingerprint scanner. An alleged image of the Xperia Z5 has been shared as well, believed to be a screenshot taken from a video showing off the Z5.
