Sony Xperia i1 ‘Honami’ system dump reveals new UI, 4K video recording, 20 MP camera

The first Sony Xperia i1 ‘Honami’ system dump is here, and it shows off the new and improved Sony UI. Also, the system dump reveals that Honami packs a 20 MP camera capable of recording 4K video.

Sony’s hotly-anticipated Xperia i1 Honami flagship system dump got leaked last night. The dump revealed lots of new features such as an overhauled UI.

Augmented Reality App, new Camera icons

Here are the changes which we observed:

  • Tweaked Camera UI
  • Updated Sony WALKMAN Music Player App
  • Tweaked Xperia Home Launcher
  • Updated Sony ALBUM App
  • Updated Sony MOVIES App
  • Updated Sony Keyboard
  • Tweaked Small Apps UI
  • Updated Sony Messaging App, UI
  • Updated Clock, Calculator, Calendar App, UI
  • New Augmented Reality App (AR)

Sony’s Xperia i1 Honami is said to pack the powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset by Qualcomm. Also, the phone packs the ability to capture 20 MP camera shots (resolution of 5248 x 3936), a new Super Resolution algorithm, 4K video recording (3840 x 2160).

The system dump itself isn’t brand new, but more than a month old dated June 2. It is entirely possible that Sony continued tweaking the UI, making more changes, adding new features and apps since then. After all, Honami’s launch date is still a little bit away.

I have to admit, with all the new information popping up of late, I am more excited than ever about Honami. Can’t wait to get my hands on the phone!
