“Sony Tablet” P launches today in Singapore


The "Sony Tablet" S and P were unveiled together last year, but it was the "Sony Tablet" S that was first to be launched in Singapore on October 2011. Good news is, the "Sony Tablet" P with dual 5.5-inch TFT screens has been announced and it is available from today.

Sony Singapore launched the "Sony Tablet" S Wi-Fi model in October last year, and the 3G version in January. But the "Sony Tablet" P came later than expected; the company has announced that it will be launched today, 24 February. The "Sony Tablet" P features a unique clamshell design with dual 5.5-inch TFT screens that lets you watch a movie on one, while using the other as a video player controls. You can also have the email on one screen and the virtual keyboard on the other to type your message.

Powered by NVIDIA Tegra2 mobile processor, the tablet weighs 372g and runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb. According to Sony, it will be upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich over-the-air in future. The "Sony Tablet" P is PlayStation-certified, which means you can access the Sony Entertainment Network to download games, music and videos. The “Sony Tablet” P will be available from today, 24 February at all Sony stores and authorised outlets at S$848.
