Sony Singapore launches VAIO J Series All-in-one PC


Sony Singapore has recently announced the VAIO J series All-in-one PC that not only looks stylish, but comes with an intuitive touchscreen display for great visual communication and entertainment. The Sony VAIO J series All-in-one PC is available this month at all Sony-Style shops and authorised outlets.

Have fun with a touch of interactivity

The VAIO J Series features a friendly "Touch Portal" that organises all touch applications onto a single screen for easy access and launch of applications. The unique Touch software makes VAIO J series a great solution for communication and entertainment. One example is Family Paint, which lets anyone draw pictures on the PC screen by using their fingers. With Media Gallery, an exclusive VAIO application that puts incredible high definition (HD) entertainment experiences at your fingertips, you can easily browse through digital images, videos, games and music tracks with effortless touch, flick, drag and rotate gestures on the LCD touch screen. Users can access Media Gallery by VAIO Gate, an intuitive new on-screen launcher that is your entry point to all your favourite Sony and third-party applications. The Media Gallery can also be launched instantly via the wireless keyboard with the dedicated ‘VAIO’ button.

In addition, the VAIO J series features a ‘WebCam Message Board’ which lets you take photos with the built-in camera and add hand-written messages that can be posted onto the screen or sent as email attachments. It supports multi-touch, up to two points, so two people can have fun playing games together.

Enjoy full HD multimedia entertainment

The large 21.5-inch screen with (16:9) 1920×1080 resolution incorporates Motion Reality HD for a clear picture when enjoying movies and video content. GDDR5 memory delivers smooth, high quality gaming graphics as well as HD video playback. The VAIO J series also delivers high quality sound with speakers equalised for optimum sound delivery from their space-saving location under the LCD. S-Force 3D front surround technology enhances movie viewing by reproducing surround sound from the built-in stereo speakers, while Dolby Home Theater helps to recreate a cinematic viewing experience through “being there” sound.

Performance to satisfy in compact design

The VAIO J series features an Intel Core i5 processor for speed and efficiency. For superb all-round visual performance, it is equipped with AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics for you to enjoy excellent video and graphics reproduction. What’s more, the GDDR5 SGRAM enables smooth performance with applications requiring high bandwidth, such as HD games. It comes with a compact, all-in-one design so you can place it anywhere you want. The keyboard with its numeric keypad can be stored neatly under the LCD screen, and since both keyboard and mouse are wireless, you can type and operate from a comfortable distance.

Convenience one-click button and VAIO original software

VAIO J series is preinstalled with various applications and utilities, and most of them launch at one touch of a button. Just push the ‘WEB’ button for Quick Web Access, allowing speedy access to web browsing. Clicking the ‘VAIO’ button launches Media Gallery that lets you enjoy and organise your photos, videos and music in a fun and easy way. There is also a dedicated ‘ASSIST’ button which gives one-touch access to VAIO Care, simplifying basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to keep your VAIO in good condition. And it comes with a DISPLAY OFF button which can quickly turn off your computer screen and keep your PC running while you are not using it, without going into hibernation mode.

The VAIO J series is retailing at S$1,799 and is available from June 2011 at all Sony-Style shops and authorised outlets.
