Sony has introduced the new SF-G series of SD cards aimed at pro users. According to the company, the SF-G series are the world’s fastest SD cards in terms of performance.
Sony’s new SF-G cards deliver read speeds of up to 300 MB/s and write speeds of up to 299 MB/s. These impressive speeds are apparently made possible due to Sony’s unique algorithm. The high performance of the cards supports continuous shooting of high-resolution images with high-end DSLRs. The high transfer speeds will also come in handy when you transfer large files such as 4K video or multiple high-resolution photos from the SD card to your PC.
The SF-G series SD cards are available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities. They support the UHS-II interface but are fully compatible with UHS-I devices as well. In addition to delivering unparalleled performance, the SF-G series cards are also highly durable with water proof and anti-static capabilities to ensure your data stays safe. Sony also offers its free downloadable File Rescue software that lets you recover photos and videos, including RAW images and 4K XAVC-S video files that may have been accidentally deleted or lost.
Sony says the new SF-G cards will be going on sale in Spring 2017.
