Sony reveals free PS Plus lineup for December

Sony has announced what deals will be offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers next month.

PS Plus access

As most PlayStation Plus subscribers know, every month they get access to two new games as part of the Instant Game Collection. Sony has announced that games will be offered next month, but unfortunately we won’t be getting any new snazzy titles on the PS4.

On the next-gen front, PS Plus subscribers can still pick up Resogun and Contrast for free in December, and in lieu of any new free offerings, the Japanese console-maker has discounted both Trine 2 (20 percent off) and Super Motherload (10 percent off) until Dec. 13.

As a bonus gamers who own Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on PS4 can pick up a downloadable figurehead that outfits the Jackdaw with a figurehead bust of Aveline from Assassin’s Creed: Liberation.

PS Plus

As for the PS3 titles, December will bring the fast-paced racing game GRID 2 and the wacky Guacamelee! to the Instant Game Collection. Guacamelee! is also available for the PS Vita.

Next up we have Sony’s handheld, the PS Vita. Subscribers will get access to the cartoon racer Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Rockstar’s open-world sequel Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

All in all it looks like the Vita gets the best offering of December, but hopefully Sony will gear up the offerings for their next-gen system next year. With the arrival of Gaikai coming early 2014, we should see some interesting things offered for PS Plus/PS4 owners in the future, but for now we have plenty of launch titles to tide us over.
