Sony Honami shows up in white, 20.7MP camera confirmed again

A series of images showing off the white version of the Sony Xperia i1 Honami have surfaced online, giving us a look at the device from pretty much every angle and confirming its 20.7-megapixel camera.

The Sony Honami hasn’t been too shy about making appearances in front of the camera, and after a multitude of leaks showing the black color version of the device and one in purple, the Honami has now shown up in white. A series of images have been published by Chinese site Digi.wo, including one comparing it to the iPhone 5.

The 20.7-megapixel camera (sporting Sony’s G Lens and a 1/2.3 sensor) on the Honami has been confirmed once again, thanks to an image of the back of the device as well as of the camera UI (which we’ve seen numerous times before). The top of the handset sports a lone headphone jack, and magnetic docking pins take up part of the left side, along with a port flap.

The images don’t give any details on the specs, but we’ll likely see hardware similar to the Xperia Z Ultra, including a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The battery is expected to be a 3,000mAh unit, which should be more than enough to power the 5-inch 1080p display taking up the front side, and 4K video support is reportedly included as well.

Thanks to these detailed leaks, all that remains is the official unveiling of the Honami, expected to take place on September 4th (with a launch following in October). That’s when we’ll find out whether it can beat all other Android phones in camera quality as the rumors have indicated, or if it will be a massive disappointment.
