Sony CX190 is a mid range droid that sits right under the Xperia L

Numerous reports across the web talk about an upcoming Sony CX190 mid range smartphone. We share some exclusive details of the same.

This upcoming Sony handset, which will be the last mid-range 2013 smartphone, will sit right below the beautiful mid range Xperia L when it finally launches. Our sources have fed us with some really juicy details regarding the handset that essentially covers most of it's specifications, and as always we just couldn't resist sharing them with our readers!

Sony CX190 Specifications:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset
  • Dual Core Krait MSM8627 or MSM8230*
  • 1 GB Of RAM
  • 4 Inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) Display
  • 5 MP Rear Camera, 720p HD Video Recording
  • 4 GB Of Internal Storage
  • MicroSD Card Slot
  • Android Jelly Bean**

*It's not finalized yet as to which chipset should go into this mid ranger. The prototypes are packing the cheaper and lowed end MSM8627 dual core Krait CPU (which is being used in the HTC 8S). In that case you'd have a 1 GHz dual core CPU along with the Adreno 305 GPU. Another possibility is using the higher end MSM8230 chipset, same as with the Xperia L.

Anyway, the CX190 is still a long way from it's release as Sony plans to introduce this handset only around the end of Q3 (say August) 2013.
