Sony today announced the successor to its Xperia C3 selfie-focused smartphone – Xperia C4. Just like its predecessor, the Xperia C4 comes in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants, with the dual-SIM variant carrying the Xperia C4 Dual moniker.
The main highlight of the latest mid-range Xperia smartphone is its 5MP front-facing camera with a 25mm wide-angle lens, claimed by Sony to be ‘best in class’. There is a soft LED flash on the front for taking selfies in low-light situations, as well as SteadyShot digital image stabilization.
Apart from the impressive front-facing camera for selfie lovers, the other specifications of the Xperia C4 are quite impressive as well. The smartphone packs a 5.5-inch IPS Full HD display with Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2 processing, an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 chipset clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for further expansion, 13MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, 2,600mAh battery, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Both the Xperia C4 and C4 Dual will be offered in Black, White, and Green color options and will go on sale in select markets from June onwards.
