One of the hardest event tickets to get in Singapore is for the annual National Day Parade performance which takes place on the 9th of August at The Float at Marina Bay. With tickets demand vastly outstripping supply, each year millions of people in Singapore watch the parade from the comfort of their own home, and for Singaporeans living overseas there’s a livestream.

For 2017 the NDP broadcast will include a 360-degree livestream on YouTube, plus at certain points in the performance the audience (and home viewer) will be encouraged to activate their VR-capable devices and sync with YouTube for pre-recorded Point-of-View (POV) videos that, with the use of the VR gear, will enable watchers to literally experience the Parade firsthand!

The YouTube VR livestream is compatible with all mobile VR systems including Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR as well as with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift PC-based VR systems.
