Announced back in October this year, the SilverStone Argon series AR07 and AR08 CPU coolers will go on sale starting next month.
The Argon AR07 includes three 8mm copper heat pipes, aluminum copper base, and 30 aluminum fins. The including cooling fan boasts of “long life sleeve bearing” technology and is guaranteed to work for up to 40000 hours at speeds between 800 to 1500 RPM. It is capable of pushing 31.4 and 93.05 cubic feet of air per minute while maintaining noise levels between 16.5-30.8dB. Argon AR07 supports both Intel and AMD processors and measures 140 x 75 x 163mm. In terms of weight, the AR07 tips the scales at 453 grams.
The Argon AR08 measures 92 x 75 x 134mm and weighs in at 285 grams, making it a lot more compact and lighter than the AR07. It comes with an aluminum base, three 6mm copper heat pipes, and a 92mm fan that spins between 1500-2800 RPM, pushing up to 49.5 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM). Just like the AR07, the smaller AR08 also supports all modern Intel and AMD CPU socket types such as LGA2011v3, LGA115x, AM3+, and FM2+.
The Argon AR07 is expected to be priced around $62, while the smaller AR08 could retail for about $50.
