The drive carries the STDZ750100 model number and offers unformatted capacity of 750GB. As far as dimensions go, the new model is identical to the 500GB model that is already on sale. Measuring 82 x 122.5 x 7mm, it is among the most compact 750GB hard drives you can buy currently. The impressive thin profile has been achieved by using the metallic cover of the drive as one of the sides. On the other side, the drive uses an insulating metal sheet.
The drive supports the USB 3.0 host interface, with a single cable for both power supply and connectivity. Seagate hasn’t disclosed any details regarding pricing or availability yet. However, expect the drive to cost upwards of $100 as the 500GB model from Seagate currently retails for $99 in the US.
