Samsung unveils new products at South East Asia, Oceania and Taiwan Forum

At the South East Asia, Oceania and Taiwan Forum, Samsung has unveiled their new line of products for 2012, with the vision of delivering connectivity and content across all their devices – TVs, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, digital cameras and home appliances.

Samsung ES8000 LED TV

The Samsung ES8000 Smart LED TV sports a new metallic U-shape stand that gives a unique, minimalistic design. It claims to offer crisp images in both 2D and 3D. It features Micro Dimming Ultimate technology that can analyze the picture and optimize the LED backlight and video signal in real time. This provides 20 percent increase in brightness, richer colors and higher contrast ratios. The technology also helps to eliminate the "halo" effect and image distortion associated with diffused light.

The Smart TV also features Smart Content, Smart Interaction and Smart Evolution. Smart Content allows users to share photos, memories and memos with loved ones from the TV to the cloud to smart devices. You can also access wide offerings of movies, TV shows and streaming videos via Samsung Apps, while Samsung Smart Hub provides multi-tasking between apps simultaneously. The 55-inch Samsung ES8000 LED TV will be available End March 2012 at S$6,499.

Samsung WB850F

The Samsung WB850F has an ultra-compact body and boasts a 21x optical zoom, and 16.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor technology that can reduce image noise and distortion, even in low light conditions. The camera also features 3-inch VGA AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi direct that lets users link the WB850F to a phone or tablet for photo sharing, and Auto Backup function that enables user to transfer images to the PC without having to carry around cables. The Samsung WB850F is available in Black from April 2012.
