Samsung launches Pink Gold version of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge

In a move that many might have seen coming, Samsung has launched a new color option for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Samsung is calling it “Pink Gold”, but it’s not hard to see that the inspiration comes from Apple’s Rose Gold color for the iPhones. That’s not to say the Korean company is launching a pink phone for the first time, altoughh the golden hues aren’t something that was seen on previous Galaxy flagships.

According to Samsung, Pink Gold was selected because it is a “natural color that provides a sense of comfort.” It certainly seems to be a good match for the attractive design of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The company says the Pink Gold S7 and S7 edge will be launched in select markets, with availability in South Korea to begin today. The specs remain the same, which is to say that despite the new color consumers will get the same excellent smartphone experience that users of the other colors have been enjoying.
