Samsung has added a new curved monitor to its lineup, the C27H580. As is quite clear by the model number, the C27H580 features a 27” sized display and offers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution. Like a few other curved monitors in Samsung’s lineup, the new C27H580 too comes with 1800R curvature for a more immersive viewing experience.
Samsung is using a SVA (Super Vertical Alignment) panel on the monitor, with a high 3000:1 static contrast ratio, 178/178 degree viewing angles, and true 8-bit colors. A flicker-free WLED backlight is used with Samsung’s ‘Active Crystal Color’ technology for a wider 119.3% sRGB gamut coverage. To minimize eye strain, the monitor features Low Blue Light settings to cut down on harmful blue light emitted by the display. Rest of the key panel specs include a 60 Hz native refresh rate with AMD FreeSync support, (48 – 72 Hz), 4ms grey-to-grey response time, and 250 nit maximum brightness.
The integrated stand only offers tilt adjustments, with no provision for VESA mounting either. Ports include DP 1.2a (FreeSync support), HDMI 1.4a, VGA, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 3.5mm audio input. For navigating through the OSD, the monitor includes a JOG button similar to the one seen on the Samsung C27F591.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed pricing or availability info yet, but we expect it to be priced around the $300 mark at launch.
