Samsung introduces new 4K monitors with AMD FreeSync support

Samsung today announced two new Ultra HD 4K monitors with support for AMD FreeSync technology.

The new UHD monitors include the U24E590D and the U28E590D. The U24E590D has a 24” UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution display while the U28E590D comes with a larger 28” size and the same Ultra HD resolution. These monitors can be used for gaming as well, thanks to their relatively low response time. The 28” model is particularly impressive in this regard, with a 1ms response time.

Both monitors come with a Game Mode that can brings rapid response to changing colors and brightness, providing a more vivid image in darker scenes. Samsung claims the 28” model supports up to 1 billion unique colors, 64 times higher than conventional monitors. Other highlights include Picture-in-Picture technology, DisplayPort, and HDMI port.

The U24E590D and the U28E590D UHD monitors will be available July 26 onwards for $399.99 and $599.99 respectively.
