According to leakster @Ricciolo, Samsung will be holding its Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Samsung has usually held its unpacked events a day before Mobile World Congress officially kicks off, so that means the Galaxy S7 could be unveiled on February 21st. If the leakster is right about this, then the smartphone may not be announced earlier than expected, as suggested by multiple reports in the past. Just yesterday it was reported that Samsung has started work on firmware development for the Galaxy S7, raising hopes for an early announcement in January.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be powered by both Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset and the Exynos 8890 M1 chipset with a Cat.12 LTE modem. Along with the Galaxy S7, we also expect to see not one but two different ‘Edge’ siblings.
