Samsung Indonesia has uploaded a new teaser video for the upcoming Galaxy S7 Edge on its YouTube channel, confirming the water resistance feature.
The water resistance feature was first mentioned in the Venture Beat report published a few weeks back, suggesting both the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge will be dust and water resistant. The feature is now all but confirmed as the video shows the Galaxy S7 Edge being used in heavy rain.
Samsung had added the water resistance feature to its flagship smartphone in the year 2014 with the Galaxy S5 but dropped the feature last year as it switched to more premium materials for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. So while the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge aren’t going to be the first water resistant Galaxy flagship smartphones, they will definitely be the first “premium” Galaxy flagships to offer the feature.
Both the flagship smartphones are going to be officially unveiled this Sunday at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona.
