The new leak reiterates the first rumor about the two handsets’ pricing.
Among the numerous leaks and rumors, the pricing for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge has already been hinted at. The two flagships were reported to carry Euro 699 and 799 price tags, and the same prices are once again mentioned in the latest leak surrounding the anticipated devices.
Tweakers.net reports that those prices will be in effect in the Benelux region (comprising of markets like the Netherlands and Belgium) for the Exynos variant with 32GB of storage. As initially hinted in a report yesterday, there will be no 64GB model available in the region. The source has also confirmed the bundling of a free Gear VR for early adopters and March 11 as the day the handsets will be available for purchase.
It’s interesting to see Samsung not increasing the pricing for its newest flagships despite adding a slew of features that were missing from its flagships last year. The Galaxy S7 edge will actually cost less than the S6 edge at launch, though that’s likely because those curved displays don’t cost as much to produce now as they did back when the S6 duo were unveiled.
