The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is coming on 23rd August

Samsung Mobile is back to its standard practice of launching two major Galaxy smartphones every year, with the Korean mobile giant recently announcing that they will reveal the next member of the Galaxy family on the 23rd of August at the Samsung Unpacked event, at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City.

And of course while not revealing the actual name of the upcoming phone, its pretty much expected that it will be the Galaxy Note8, the successor to the unfortunate Note7 – which was an excellent device when it didn’t catch fire while you were using it.

The success of the Galaxy S8 devices has clearly demonstrated that Samsung have emerged from the Note7 crisis with its reputation still intact, and from the animated GIF accompanying Samsung’s 23rd August announcement we’re pretty sure that the new Note8 will utilize the same edge-to-edge ‘infinity’ chassis design of the S8 devices, though perhaps with a slightly bigger AMOLED screen, and the S-pen will be retained.
