Samsung Galaxy Note 6 ‘Lite’ with Snapdragon 820 & 4GB RAM rumored

A wild new rumor out of China claims that Samsung is working on a ‘Lite’ variant of the Galaxy Note 6 with slightly downgraded specs.

The display on the more affordable version of the Galaxy Note 6 will reportedly still measure 5.8-inches diagonally but with a lower 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution. Under the hood, it is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. The regular Galaxy Note 6, according to recent reports, will feature the Snapdragon 823 chipset with 6GB of RAM.

No other details have been revealed in the Weibo post, so if the ‘Lite’ variant does indeed exist, we expect it to be a downgrade over the regular Galaxy Note 6 in other departments as well. However, seeing how the rumor comes from an untrusted source on Weibo, it is highly likely that this could turn out to be a fake rumor.
