So far rumors had suggested the Galaxy Note 5 will be equipped with an impressive 4,100mAh capacity battery. However, reputed leakster evleaks has revealed that both the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will come with a 3,000mAh capacity battery.
That’s 220mAh smaller than the Galaxy Note 4 battery. While the news is certainly disappointing, it does seem to make sense as the Galaxy Note 5 is also expected to be thinner than its predecessor, like the Galaxy S6. In case of the Galaxy S6 as well, Samsung decided to compromise on the battery capacity to achieve a razor-thin profile.
The 3,000mAh battery on both the upcoming Galaxy smartphones will apparently be rated for maximum standby time of 336 hours and maximum talk time of 21 hours.
Whether or not evleaks is right about the battery capacity will be revealed very soon as Samsung will official unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones at its UNPACKED event scheduled for August 13th.
