As a result, the Galaxy Note 3 was always going to be another hit for the company, and now CEO JK Shin has announced that almost five million units of Samsung’s latest phablet have been shipped to carriers, retailers, and other sales channels. Of course, shipments don’t equal sales, but it’s still an impressive figure for such a large-screen device. The original Note took five months to reach 5 million shipments while the Note II took two months
According to Shin, the Note 3 has seen a good market response compared to its predecessors, partly due to the increased intensity of marketing by Samsung. When you consider the big and beautiful screen, top-of-the-line specs, and the best stylus support around, and you have a recipe for success that competitors like HTC and Sony cannot hope to match in the near future.
