The hint comes via the company’s teasers for the next Galaxy.
Over on its Twitter account, Samsung is busy building up anticipation for the Galaxy S7. In the process the company might have dropped a nice little hint confirming the device will be waterproof. A confirmation already came through an official Samsung video that was published online by mistake, and the teaser on the Samsung Mobile Twitter account is offering yet another indication.
“Change your idea of what a phone can handle” is what the company has tweeted, along with a video that shows a girl dropping a phone in a pool. Of course, the company already changed that idea with the Galaxy S5 and devices like the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6 Active, but it’s clear it wants the feature to make a big splash (pun unintended) with its inclusion on the Galaxy S7. The S7 is expected to have an IP68 rating for water-resistance on its metal and glass body.
Samsung should be teasing more major features on the Galaxy S7 in the next day or so before the device gets officially announced. It’s too bad it won’t be able to surprise anyone because of the leaks and rumors that have laid everything bare already.
