Red Nexus 5 now available on Google Play, retains its premium hardware and mid-range price

Google has quietly launched the red Nexus 5 on the Play Store, following a week of constant rumors and leaks surrounding the new color option.

The (bright) red Nexus 5 is available in both 16 and 32GB storage variants, and retains the same price as the black and white models: $349 for 16 GB, and $399 for 32 GB. Unlike Google’s usual product launches, the new color option for the company’s flagship smartphone seems to have gone live in every market where the Nexus 5 has been previously available, with the device ready to be shipped in 1-2 business days.

As expected, the hardware on the red Nexus 5 remains the same as the black and white models. There’s a 5-inch Full HD 1080p IPS+ display, 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, LTE, and NFC connectivity, a 2,300 mAh battery with wireless charging, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Head over to the source link to order the red Nexus 5.
