Razer, the world’s premier gaming lifestyle brand, has announced a range of protective mobile cases with a newly-developed thermal cooling technology for the 2018 and 2019 iPhones, along with Razer Phone 2.
This comes in light of Apple’s iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max announcements yesterday.
The Razer Arctech, which uses the brand’s proprietary Thermaphene technology to dissipate heat from the phone. This reduces operating temperatures and throttling during heavy use, and improves networking and gameplay performance.
Available in two versions, the Arctech Slim presents a slim, unintrusive profile while providing cooling performance and protection. The Arctech Pro and Arctech Pro THS Edition cases are scratch-resistant and use four shock-absorbant sidewalls to provide a certified resistance against a 10ft (3m) drop.
Qi Wireless charging will be fully compatible with the case, and has been designed to leave device network connectivity unhindered.
Independent testing showed that Razer’s Arctech cases kept phones up to 6 degrees Celcius lower than phones clad in comparison cases. During the entire two-hour test cycle duration, phones protected by Arctech were kept under the manufacturer’s specified maximum recommended operating temperature, while the other device climbed above this level within 20 minutes.
The Arctech Slim (USD 29.99), Arctech Pro (USD 39.99) and Arctech Pro THS Edition (USD 44.99) cases will be available in Black, Quartz and Mercury versions, and will be compatible with the 2018 iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, 2019 iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, along with the Razer Phone 2.
It will be joined by the Razer Blue Light Screen Protector that comes in at USD 39.99.
