Razer debuts Gaming LAPTOP at PAX Prime

In a photo teaser on their Facebook site, Razer has finally revealed to the world that their "PC Gaming IS NOT DEAD" viral campaign is actually a prelude to their new gaming laptop, which will be unveiled to gamers in just under an hour at Penny Arcade Expo. Will it be the newest incarnation of the previously showcased Intel Atom powered SwitchBlade or something more awesome?

Just prior to this article, Razer posted a picture with a mysterious code on their Facebook for their PC Gaming IS NOT DEAD Campaign:

Within minutes, clever Facebook users soon figured out that it was "LAPTOP" written in the Wingdings symbol font.

This is a sea change for gaming peripherals-only maker Razer, putting them head to head with traditional notebook giants like Acer, ASUS and the (soon to be defunct) HP.

The question is now what this alleged Razer Laptop will speced with – popular speculation points to the previous SwitchBlade concept device which had a Intel Atom Z670 Oaktrail Processor (which would really suck for serious gaming), but we have a hunch that it will be the first of many Sandy Bridge powered Intel UltraBooks (also co-incidentally going to be unveiled in September 2011) which would bring powerful ultra low voltage dual or quad core CPUs, long battery life, thin/light design and probably discreet graphics performance.
